The Boston-Based company, Draftkings – a popular daily fantasy sport betting operator – has been searching for UK soccer sponsorships and already found three. From now on, DraftKings is cooperating with Arsenal, Liverpool and Waterford as a part of a global expansion into the UK market.
The official daily fantasy sports partnership between DraftKings and the English Premier League Clubs (EPL) has been announced on Wednesday. Owing to the mutual agreement, DraftKings as a brand will be promoted throughout the social media channels of these clubs.
Football fans of these associations will have the chance to win exclusive prizes including match day tickets or other exclusive experiences with the clubs.
The co-founder and CEO of the company, Jason Robins explained that sport fans in the UK can expect particularly different practice in the field of daily fantasy sports (DFS) by offering their new services. They can try their skills and pay for that immediately on a daily basis.
He added, the company’s main target is to bring people and action as close as possible, therefore they decided to comply with the biggest UK teams and take the benefits from the UK soccer sponsorships.

The Boston-based company plans to operate in the UK offering tournaments in 11 sports which are currently available in North America. Besides football, golf, ultimate fighting championship (UFC) and eSports, the company seeks to add other local sports significant to global markets.
However, DraftKings has stopped operating in Hawaii – because daily fantasy sports have been labelled as illegal gaming in the state recently – the UK soccer sponsorship could compensate their financial losses in relation to the Hawaiian regulations.
