Before the summer transfer window closes, the Sky Blues boss wants to add a few more players to his side – bet on Man City!

Man City have already secured three singings as Guardiola prepares to taste his first campaign in the Premier League, however his transfer plans are not over as the Catalan has his eyes set on a few more players.
Everton defender John Stones is top of the shopping list for former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss, but the stumbling block seems to be difference in valuation of the player. According to Sky Sports, the Toffees are demanding £50 million (€60 million) for the 22-year-old, while Man City are looking to acquire his services for less than that amount.
Another major signing that has been heavily talked about in the media is Schalke’s young midfielder Leroy Sane, however, just like the case with Stones, the Gelsenkirchen side are expected to demand much higher than his current £25 million (€30 million) valuation, with the 20-year-old’s contract running for another three years.
Guardiola has already recruited two promising players in the form of midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and winger Manuel ‘Nolito’ Duran, for £22 million (€27 million) from Dortmund and £15 million (€18 million) from Celta de Vigo respectively. Man City also acquired young Ukrainian prospect Oleksandr Zinchencko from Ufa for around £1.7 million (€2 million), however due to his lack of experience at the top level he’s likely to be sent out on loan.
Guardiola outlined his plans and the kind of players that he wants to utilize to achieve that in the coming season, “We need to create good build-up play, with easy passes in midfield, to achieve good passes for our strikers further up the pitch.”
“I believe when the ball goes from a central defender to a striker, the ball comes back as quickly as it goes, and we have to make it clear that we are building up in our first process, whether that is defenders or midfielders, and that is why we need players of quality, to play in that style, and we have the players to do that. And I think by August 31, we will have the right players to play that way we want,” said the Catalan.
