Scoot Wilson – who missed most of last season due to a broken ankle – managed to net 22 goals in 34 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League (AHL). “Those goals came from me just shooting the puck. Just being simple. Sometimes you try to get a little too cure. But Sully lets me know to play north-south, especially with guys like Geno,” said the 24-year-old center.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan will be looking to use his talents this season as they aim to defend the Stanley Cup. Would it not have been for Wilson’s injury, Sullivan probably would have used him in the play-offs, if not the entire season due to his impressive skills.

“Willie missed a lot time with his broken ankle last year. He’s trying to get his game back, and that’s a bit of a process,” commented Sullivan. “I do believe he’s a very good player, and has the potential to play in our top six, top nine, however you want to put it.”
