Pep Guardiola gave one of the most awkward interviews following Man City’s dramatic 2-1 win over Burnley at the weekend.
When Guardiola was posed with the standard post-match questions after round 20 at the Etihad last weekend, his mind seemed to be racing in a thousand different directions, with the reporter getting only the most simple responses and martyr-like comments that had a tinge of hostility in them.

As usual, the camera only catches the upper torso and the head of the respective manager during the post-match interviews, however Guardiola was visibly anxious and could have easily been tapping his toes as his body swayed from left to right constantly throughout in what is certain to go down as one of the most awkward interviews in football.
It is believed among some players that have played under Guardiola that he’s a perfectionist who is ‘never happy’ as he’s always looking for something to improve, no matter how good results may be. Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara – managed by Guardiola during his time in both the capitals of Catalonia and Bavaria – highlighted the level of dedication the 45-year-old manager practices in efforts to find the best footballing solutions.

Man City are set to face Everton at Goodison Park in round 21 of the Premier League (January 15), for which encounter they’ve been dealt favourite odds, despite the fact that they’ve lost on three occasions while playing on the road. The rest of the games away from the Etihad have seen Man City get the better of their opponents seven times.
Everton on the other hand maintain a home record of 5 victories, with the remaining encounters resulting in four draws and one loss. After twenty rounds, the Toffees find themselves in 7th position on the table with 30 points – 12 points behind third-placed Man City.
Despite Guardiola giving one of the most awkward interviews in football, which strongly suggests that he’s starting to feel the heat of English football, we’re confident Man City will seal another three points from round 21.
