If you want your son to be superstar football player one day, then you should make sure to time his birth with precision so he can join the list of football birthdays on February 5th. Why you ask? Well, because there seems to be a special link with that date and the supernatural ability on the ball. There are a number of players that were and are superstars today with birthdays on that date, so if you want to one day have your son buy you a nice mansion with an Olympic size swimming pool, then you should really take our advice to time his birth correctly.

Neymar

The Brazilian attacker is celebrating his 24th birthday today and so far he has already won everything there is to win on the club level. The only thing missing from his trophy cabinet are the titles with his national side, although there’s still time to do that in the following World Cups before his form starts declining. Barcelona are looking to extend his contract soon and with that he will get a bumper pay raise, although he’s already receiving €170,000 per week from the club alone. He’s still relatively young so he hasn’t amassed a fortune that could buy you a private jet, if you were his dad. Even still, just imagine all the things your son would buy you if he were to celebrate his football birthdays on February 5th: cars, houses, “medicinal drugs,” ladies of the night and many other useful things.

Ronaldo

This is the best example of a player that celebrates his football birthdays on February 5th and is a global superstar. He has everything: left foot, right foot, head, speed, agility, form, consistency… He is the complete player and despite turning 31 today, there are no signs of him slowing down. “Yes, yes, he’s amazing with the ball, but what would I get if he were my son???” is what you’re probably thinking right now. Well, for starters he makes around €400,000 per week, and oh he doesn’t pay a single cent of tax for it, his club does that for him. On top of that he makes just as much from all the various sponsors he has. Forget about a private jet, Ronaldo could buy you a jumbo jet filled with enough caviar that could last for years.

Tevez

The Argentine is not on the same level as Neymar or Ronaldo, but he’s nevertheless (I’ve managed to use my fancy word for the day) a great player. When he first came to England he plied his trade for West Ham before joining Manchester United in a controversial move in 2007. Now pay attention reader (Jane Eyre reference by the way – I know, I’m well read), because this part is interesting. Two years later, Tevez was smart and he accepted a massive offer from Manchester City where he stayed for four years on a contract rumoured to be around £200,000 per week. If you ever have a son with his football birthdays on February 5th, make sure to tell him to forgo the glory of playing for a club with history, and instead sign for a side that can buy both him and you a new home and offer enough money so you wouldn’t have to work another day in your life.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst

Giovanni van Bronckhorst went into retirement in 2010, right after he helped The Netherlands reach second place in the World Cup in South Africa. He started out at Feyenoord as youngster and went on to represent giants like Arsenal and Barcelona, collecting tons of medals in the process. Although operating as a midfielder and a left-back, he still showed impressive skills on the ball. I still remember his magnificent strike against Uruguay at the 2010 World Cup. I’m guessing he’s probably starving now, barely having enough for milk and bread…Of course he’s not! He was born under a special star, that’s why he celebrates his football birthdays on February 5th.

Bonus Player – Vedran Corluka

I know, I know, Corluka is not a superstar. Actually he’s not even a star. He’s not even a spec in the night sky that has the potential to become great. So why is he on the list of stars who celebrate their football birthdays on February 5h? Well, he used to be a promising player a decade ago when he was just starting out, but he made a detrimental mistake (another fancy word – 2 for 2, I’m on fire today). He signed for Manchester City in 2007, but didn’t take advantage of all the Arabian money rolling to the club a year later, as he opted to sign for Tottenham. So the lesson here is to advise your son to keep the bench warm while all the big boys are playing, but at least he’ll receive a massive contract in return. We’ve seen cases like this before: Shay Given, Richard Wright, Francesco Toldo and others.
