Mino Raiola – Pogba’s representative – is looking for a massive payday in order to secure his client’s services to Manchester United. (Bet on Man United with Bet365 Sports!)

The 23-year-old midfielder is gearing up for a reunion with Old Trafford, with the only obstacle remaining to complete the deal is the matter of agent’s fee, according to Sky Sports. However, both Manchester United and Juventus are reluctant to shell out €20 million (£16.7 million) for Raiola’s services in completing the potential deal. To put things into perspective, an average-level player nowadays coasts around that fee, which makes sense that either side would rather spend that money on additional recruits instead giving to Pogba’s Italian agent to facilitate the transfer.

The Turin side are in no rush to sell the Frenchman as his contract runs until 2019, so they rightfully want to get maximum value for their player. The Premier League club on the other hand are unwilling to part ways with another €20 million on top of the colossal transfer fee, which is understood to be in the region of €110 million (£92 million). If the transfer goes through – and by all accounts it’s more than likely Jose Mourinho’s side will pay up the massive fee – the deal would make Pogba the most expensive player in the world. The four-time Seria A winner is expected to earn around €20 million (£16.7 million) per season, which breaks down to a massive €384,000 (£321,000) per week.

Reporter Valentina Fass confirmed Pogba’s imminent move to Man United, “Paul Pogba is really in advanced talks with Manchester United,” “They seem to have found an agreement with the player. He should be getting €13 million net per season plus €7 million a year for image rights. The main problem is the amount that the two clubs have to exchange becasue of the agent’s fee.”

“The agent himself was in Miami with the player. Pogba is still on holiday at the moment and should meet up with the Juventus team at the beginning of August,” stressed Fass. “Raiola went to Miami to discuss further the issues because it is understood the fee for him should be really high, something around €20 million just for the agent.”
“What has to be decided is who pays the fee because Juventus doesn’t want to pay the fee. Manchester United, at the moment, doesn’t want to seem to pay that amount of money when it’s already spending €110 million for the player.”

Raiola has been very busy over the summer as he already brokered the deals of his clients Henrikh Mkitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both to Old Trafford. Pogba would be his third player to make a switch to Man United where they will all play under two-time Champions League winner Jose Mourinho.
