Current Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino may be looking to become the next manager of French powerhouse PSG, after saying it’s “part of his dreams.”
“I’ve always said that I would be pleased to join a great club like PSG. Come to Paris? I hope so,” said the man that used to played at Parc des Princes in the early 2000s. “It is true that it would please me. It’s part of my dreams. I try to watch all their matches, especially in the Champions League.”
Despite admiring his former side, Mauricio Pochettino commented that the level of competition in France is on the highest level, considering it’s practically a one-horse race. “The (French) championship is not very attractive because PSG is far from the other teams but I look a lot because it is a major source of players. There is talent so I have to follow Ligue 1.”
Judging by the fact that he’s looking to add another striker to his current squad (Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi has been on his radar), he probably won’t be going away to manage another side any time soon. So all you Spurs fans can relax, for now at least.
“We are looking for a striker this summer, that’s clear. Michy’s a young player who has a lot of talent. He is on the list of many clubs,” Mauricio Pochettino said. “We have quite a few people who have given us information about him. He has good potential. We’ll see. We have other players in our sights too.”

Mauricio Pochettino represented the Parisien club for two and a half seasons between 2001 and 2003 in which he made 95 appearances and scored 6 goals overall. But at the time they were far from the team they are now, as they boast among the finest players in world football. All the biggest online sportsbooks have favoured them to clinch the Ligue 1 title ever since Qatar Investment Authority took over the club in 2011, according to ESPN.
PSG have recently claimed their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 trophy, and with the way things are standing in French football they’re not looking to stop winning the domestic trophies any time soon.
Tottenham next face Chelsea on Monday night at the Stamford Bridge. They are currently second on the table with 69 points, 7 behind leaders Leicester City. With only three games remaining in the English top flight this season, The Spurs’ chances of winning the league is virtually at zero.
Spurs boss will be aiming to add a few extra points to his side to before the season ends to ensure they stay in second place. They are favorites against The Blues 2.50 (6/4), per William Hill Sports, with the draw standing at 3.30 (23/10). Chelsea are underdogs on their own ground 2.80 (9/5).
