The final game of the season is almost here and there are all sorts of cool and interesting things surrounding the great event. We haven’t made the list based on importance, but rather we just picked all Super Bowl fun facts at random. Check out the list below and let us you what fun fact you know about Super Bowl 50.

Peyton Manning will be leading the Denver Broncos in this weekend’s game, and if he wins the Super Bowl he will be the oldest quarterback to ever win the trophy at 39 years of age. He would essentially overtake John Elway, Broncos’ iconic former player, who lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy in 1999, at the age of 38.

Super Bowl fun facts also apply to off-the-field aspects, such as eating. The Super Bowl is the highest day of food consumption right after Thanksgiving. Chips, snacks, popcorn, pizza and other delicious snacks are part of the Super Bowl eating ritual. It is expected that 13,500 tonnes of chips will be consumed this Sunday, while another 4,000 of guacamole will also be eaten up.

You won’t miss out on the presence of the media, considering this being one of the greatest events of the year. A total of 70 game camera and 256 microphones will be put to use for the Super Bowl broadcast. And the viewership numbers are pretty extraordinary, with more than 170 million people worldwide expected to watch the game live. Super Bowl 50 will be transmitted to over 180 countries, although the biggest chunk of the viewership will obviously come from the US, where around 105-110 million people will tune in. that’s why it’s not surprise that a 30-second Super Bowl ad costs a staggering $5 million.

For Super Bowl 50, the Broncos won’t wear their original orange jerseys, but will instead wearing their white ones. The Panthers will go with their customary black outfits. Perhaps it’s just to make each team look like the complete opposite from one another.

Peyton Manning is the only quarterback in the history of the game to reach the Super Bowl with two different teams. Also, he has played under four different coaches at four Super Bowls.

Cam Newton, Panters’ quarterback, has named his son Chosen, but let’s see if he will be the “chosen one” for the trophy. When the Panthers came across the Broncos last time in 2012, six Denver players sacked Newton seven times.

Another interesting Super Bowl fun fact is that if the Panthers manage to pull off a win over the Broncos, it would be their first title ever. They are one of 13 NFL teams not to ever lay their hands on the Vince Lombardi trophy.

Again, here’s one for the betting fans: in the last 14 editions of the final only three times did the favourite actually win the game. So we recommend you try betting on the Broncos for this game. In the USA alone, it’s estimated that more than $120 million will be wagered on the game, although most of the states don’t allow betting on sports. Globally, the betting numbers on Super Bowl 50 is expected to go in to the billions.

Vernon Davis, Broncos’ right end player, owns an art gallery in which he himself displays his own art. When he was drafted into the NFL in 2006 by the San Francisco 49ers, he signed a five-year deal worth $23 million, making him the highest earner in that position. Another interesting Super Bowl fun fact is that he will play on his former ground Levi’s Stadium – let’s hope it bring him luck.

The winners of the Super Bowl will receive $102,000 each, while the losers will get “only” $51,000. I would settle for being a loser for $50K any day of the week…
