Murray will kick-off his 2016 Wimbledon adventure against another Briton, Liam Broady, in the first round of the tournament, according to BBC Sport. Defending champion and top seed Novak Djokovic will face James Ward (another Briton) as his first challenger to the Wimbledon title. Online sportsbook Unibet favours Djokovic to win his third consecutive Championship 1.70 (7/10), but Murray is hungry to add some more trophies to his modest collection.
Murray is currently ranked World’s No. 2, right behind Djokovic who has held the No. 1 position for 103 weeks now, starting from July 7, 2014. The Scot claimed the Wimbledon title in 2013 against the firsome Djokovic, making it the only time he’s won the world’s most coveted tennis tournament. The Serbian star went on to win the next two editions of the tournament, where he faced Swiss icon Roger Federer in both the 2014 and 2015 finals.
In 2014, Murray crashed out of the tournament in the quarter-finals against Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, while in 2015 he suffered a semi-final loss to Federer. But we believe 2016 can be his year, so place a bet on Murray to win with Wimbledon Price Boost 5.00 (4/1)!
