Despite speculation heavily linking Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford, the striker still refuses to reveal his next destination after leaving PSG.

ESPN reports the Swedish international has confessed where he wants to play next, but refused to disclose any more details regarding an actual club. “It’s not a difficult choice, I know what I want. The future is already written. I have made my choice,” Ibrahimovic said.
When he was quizzed about a potential move to Premier League side Manchester United, he kept his thoughts to himself, for the time being. “I don’t give guarantees. There are concrete offers from the Premier League, so let’s see what happens,” said the imposing striker, who would be reunited with former manager Jose Mourinho – a man that he worked with during his last year at Inter Milan – if he decided to sign for Man United.
Manchester United are second favourites 5.50 (9/2) to win the Premier League title next season, per online sportsbook Bet365. Mourinho’s old nemesis Pep Guardiola is set to take over Man City from next season, which is one of the prime reasons why they’re the favourite side to clinch the title 2.75 (7/4). The Special One’s former club Chelsea are fourth on the list 7.50 (13/2) of potential candidates to lift the crown, while the online sportsbook gives Arsenal third favourites odds 7.00 (6/1). Ibrahimovic then gave his viewpoints on the Old Trafford side appointing the Portuguese as their next boss. “I think it’s a great move. You want action you bring Mourinho. I believe he is the man to bring them back to the top,” Ibrahimovic stressed. “Wherever he went, he won. He knows what he’s doing. So if you want to bring Mourinho. I had a fantastic time with him when I was working with him…If we will work again, I don’t know. Let’s see how things play out.”
Perhaps in efforts to avoid further questioning about him possibly joining Mourinho’s ranks at Man United, the 34-year-old conceded the two have not talked in recent times, but admitted they’ve kept in touch over the years. “There is no secret, I have a great relationship with Mourinho. We are in contact but not in the last weeks. We have been talking for many years.”
Some have expressed concerns about Ibrahimovic’s age and whether he can still compete at the top level, but he issued a warning that he’s only getting started. His four years in Paris have seen the striker hit goalscoring charts that he’s never achieved before with any other club that he’s represented. During the four-year period, Ibrahimovic has scored a whopping 156 goals in just 180 appearances, while last season alone he’s bagged an incredible 50 goals across all competitions. In comparison, Man United as a team have managed to find the back of the net only 49 times last season in the English top flight.
“I’m only warming up. I had a fantastic season, I proved age is just a number. Everything is in your head. Whatever you want to do you will do it. It’s a master mind game. If I want to make it I’ll make it. If I want to do it I’ll do it,” said the Swedish star who is gearing up to lead his country in European Championship in France.
